Our prices need to go down, its going to be election time soon. And let us face it, if the price is to high who do we blame? The President. He needs to get on the ball.

According to CNN Money fuel price hikes have ALWAYS been accompanied by an extreme DROP in prices shortly afterward. They estimate that gas prices will level out somewhere between $2.50 and $3.15/gallon. I'm still praying for 99c fuel which is 4 TIMES more than I used to pay in college when it was 25c / gallon (THOSE were the days!). Let's face it ... the last time the gas prices spiked a few years ago there was a mad rush to convert gas guzzlers to electric power alternatives. If gas prices spike again like before the oil companies may not be able to stop the mass exodus from gasoline cars in favor of electric cars. I learned today on the news that most of the larger factories have already switched from oil for their energy needs. In the private sector we're utilizing solar energy more and what about Tesla coils? Mankind always adapts as as oil prices rise it makes our brains kick in to discover a cheaper source of getting around on this planet. I'm consolidating my driving for the week and doing it all in one day so that my car sits for 6 days of the week. I'm now shooting for filling up once a month instead of once a week. If we ALL cut back on our driving and make our trips more efficient the prices will continue to drop as demand falls.

Back in 2004 bush hired this guy that does not think speculations raise oil prices but look what happend when walll street lost control of the stock market in oct od 2008 gas prices dropped way down!!!!!!! Doesnt that show what happens when they(wallstreet) lose control of their price pushing! In june this year mike dunn will be replaced (hopefully) with some body else that dosent believe in speculation! If thats true we could see how much oil prices are pushed up by wallstreet!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm all for the middle east fighting for democracy but it will effect gas prices dramatically. Until this works itself out and oil gurus stop using this as a excuse to make money I think it will go over $4.00 a gallon.

Unfortunately, we may see $6.00 a gallon or it may be rationed.

US Energy Information Administration expects regular-grade motor gasoline retail prices to average $3.15 per gallon in 2011, 37 cents per gallon higher than the 2010 average, and $3.30 per gallon in 2012, with prices forecast to average about 5 cents per gallon higher in each year during the peak driving season (April through September).
This comes at a time as worldwide demand will continue to increase. OPEC has agreed to increase by half a million barrels per day for 2011 and one and half million for 2012. US and Mexico's production will continue to drop (non-OPEC countries) over the next two years.

I can only hope the madness of the rising gas prices will stop ! My husband tells me not to worry it is only 17 more dollars a week for you to fill up but the practical person I am times that by 4 weeks and it is a huge amount . Hurts the saving ! I feel it will get worst. Eventually they will tell us how much gas we can get a week . I watch it go from 3.45 in am to noon to 3.55. And flex fuel from 2.98. To 3.40. Crazy !

I expect to see gas at $4.20 for the cheapest regular in San Diego by the end of May, and for it to stay there until after Labor Day. We might see $5 a gallon for stations like Chevron or Shell by mid-summer. I deliver for a living and I drive up to 600 miles a week in a Subaru wagon, and my costs have gone up from approx. $.12 a mile 4 months ago to about $.16 now, and I expect it to hit almost $.20 per mile by mid summer.

Gas prices will be higher then 2010 and it will get to where people will not be able to aforrd to go anywhere but to work and home and may be to the grocery or the drug store. But not even that and also this summer people that use to go on vacations and trips will not even get to do that. So the gas prices have put people in the biggest stand still we have ever been in thanks to the Middle east

As with everything else I believe the gas prices will continue to go up. It looks like the unrest in the middle east will continue. We are slowly loosing all our allies.
